POSITION TITLE: Quality Control Manager
LOCATION: Brooksville, Florida, USA
SUMMARY OF POSITION/ POSITION DUTIES:
The Quaility Control Manger oversees a team responsible for ensuring the full conformance of manufactured items and procured material.
The successful candidate will be expert at reading and interpreting drawings and technical data. The candidate will be thorough with investigating new requirements and ensure comprehensive root cause analysis to define material shortcomings.
1. Establish and oversee all aspects of quality including metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met.
2. Act as key point of contact for all quality aspects including providing quality services and coordinating quality resources internally and externally through proactive participation and communication.
3. Lead and mentor quality team members, as well as confirm quality standards of outside vendors.
4. Manage and disposition non-conforming material as the head of the Material Review Board (MRB) working with the MRB members to support the company in meeting schedule and cost requirements. Perform Root Cause/Corrective actions investigations. Track and provide metrics to departments on quality.
5. Initiate and/or support corrective actions related to processes and initiatives.
6. Deploy strategies and objectives for Quality through the company.
7. Coordinate customer audits and play an active role in internal audits
8. Perform gap analysis and implement new quality standards as required.
9. Communicate Quality requirements to suppliers, communicate product quality concerns, monitor and communicate supplier performance on quality, delivery and responsiveness.
10. Conduct and report on periodic reviews of the management system implementations, formulate proposals for quality systems improvement.
11. Review technical problems and procedures of departments and recommend solutions to problems or changes in procedures.
12. Perform final quality acceptance prior to shipment to the customer using visual, measurements, and document review methods.
13. Have an understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing and how it impacts the Quality system. Knowledge of model-based definition is desired.
14. Know how to utilize tools and personnel to ensure Quality goals are met.
15. Reports to the Executive Management Team.
16. Perform other tasks as directed by the Executive Management Team.
